CSS Breakfast for Under-represented Students
The 2nd CSS Breakfast for Under-represented Students will be held Wednesday Dec. 13, 7:30-8:30am at Peony Main 4406-4506.
This activity is aimed at building a community for individuals who identify as under-represented within the CSS. The program includes some speakers, but most of the time will be devoted to informal interactions. The breakfast is open to students and postdocs who identify as under-represented in the control systems field, STEM, or the academic community. This may include, but is not limited to, students/postdocs who identify as being Black/African American, Hispanic, Indigenous, LGBTQ+, or as having a disability.
(While women are welcome, this event is aimed at those from other under-represented groups. Women are encouraged to attend the Women in Controls luncheon, which provides a similar venue for community building.)
